Foundations & Backing

Foundation is a semi-stiff material on which beads are sewn to create bead embroidery designs. A needle glides through it, but it is stiff enough to support your projects without hoops or card backings.

Ultra suede and Faux Suede is a human-made fabric that does not fray or unravel. It is soft, supple and dense. It makes an excellent finishing material for the back of bead embroidery projects. It is easier to stitch through than leather.
