Fire Opal 5x15mm Flat Chip 8in

Fire Opal, or it is also known as Cantera Opal. It is the naturally occurring stone where opal is formed in rhyolite and the opal is too small to extract - similar to Boulder Opal - where the opal is tangled in a mass of the host stone. It is a blend of chunks of vanilla in a matrix of caramel and chocolate, but does not display the play of colour that opal does. Also, you don't need to mortgage your house to pay for it.

Hardness: Mohs 3-5 (quite soft). Better suited to necklaces than bracelets.
