Copper and Alunite – Dyed. Alunite is a mineral found in volcanic veins, but is similar to limestone. It's natural color is white-grey. It is about 4 on the Mohs hardness scale – which means that it needs the protection of a bezel or frame, and is best used where it will not be subject to hard knocks. Not suitable for rings.
